Graphic of PBNI Values - Respect, Integrity, Openness and Accountability

The Probation Board for Northern Ireland (PBNI) provides services across Northern Ireland employing more than 400 people and overseeing a budget of £18m.

Read our Recruitment Policy (PDF) and our Recruitment Procedure (PDF) for information on our recruitment process.

Just over half of PBNI’s staff are Probation Officers based in more than 35 sites from Belfast to Londonderry. Probation Officers are qualified social workers but PBNI also employs people to work in other areas of the organisation such as administration, finance, information technology, human resources and operational support staff e.g. Community Service Supervisors and Probation Service Officers.

As an equal opportunities employer PBNI aims to recruit and develop the very best talent available across a wide range of disciplines.

We publish details of the latest employment opportunities when they become available in local daily press and also in the Vacancies section of this website.
