Being a member of the finance team in PBNI is rewarding and interesting. The team as a whole are responsible for financial management, payroll, procurement, and grant management for the organisation.
As a member of the finance team you will work to support the running of the organisation through monthly management Accounts and Budget Management, maintenance for Account NI and providing support and training to staff members supporting non-finance managers across the organisation.
The team assists with business case preparation, as well as regular liaison with finance partners in the Department of Justice, and internal and external audit.
Work in payroll involves calculation of monthly payroll calculations and payments, third party deductions/payments, such as National Insurance and tax for HMRC, and liaising with the NILGOSC pension scheme who administer PBNI pensions. Working closely with HR colleagues, providing input on pay remits and also general payroll support for staff if they have any queries.
Procurement and Grants entails co-ordination of procurement of new and replacement contracts working with internal and external stakeholders working to ensure that that all staff, via non-finance managers, are aware of the current contracts available and update them accordingly as contracts change.
PBNI works closely with community partners and provides external funding. The finance team works with operational partners to co-ordinate and administer community and voluntary sector grants.
