Community Service cleans up West Belfast Alleyways

Published date:

The Probation Board launched its first alleyway cleansing programme in Poleglass this October, marking a new partnership between the organisation and the local community.

The initiative will see the Probation's Community Service teams working to improve the cleanliness and safety of alleyways across the area.

The project has been organised in collaboration with Councillor Caoimhín McCann and supported by Danny Baker MLA, alongside other community services.

It represents a new approach to tackling environmental and antisocial issues in the neighbourhood, with local representatives saying it will help improve living conditions for residents.

It was covered in the media and you can read more about the new initiative on Belfast Live:  Local Alleyways transformed by new Community Service Project
