At the 2016 Social Work Awards PBNI Area Manager Jean O’Neill received the Lifetime Achievement Award and Probation Officer Geraldine Woods was shortlisted as a finalist for Adult Services (Individual Award). Video – Enhanced Combination Order
From 1 October 2015 there is a pilot running in the Ards and Armagh & South Down Court areas, called Enhanced Combination Orders, which is an option open to Sentencers in those areas as an alternative to custodial sentences of less than 12 months. These Orders are enhanced with a greater focus on rehabilitation, reparation, restorative practice and desistance.
