The Probation Board
for Northern Ireland (PBNI) provides services across Northern Ireland employing more than three hundred
(300) people and overseeing a budget of £14m. Just over half of PBNI’s staff are Probation Officers
based in more than 30 area offices from Belfast to Londonderry.
Probation Officers are qualified social workers but the Probation Board
also employs people to work in other areas of the organisation; administration, finance, information
technology, human resources and operational support staff e.g, sessional supervisors for community service.
